Ekohotblog earlier reported that operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have rearrested activist and publisher, Omoyele Sowore today.
This follows an initial report that DSS stormed the premises of the Abuja Federal High Court to arrest the #RevolutionNow convener but were resisted by other activists in court.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react to the development.
BREAKING:The DSS rearrested #Sowore this morning. Police State Theory confirmed! @MBuhari is a copycat of comrade Josef Stalin of defunct USSR.

They came for Simon, you didn't say anything, they came for tunde, you didn't say anything, they came for Sowore, you didn't act as if it concerns you.
Never forget, tyranny is always enough to go round.
Never forget! #FreeSoworeNow #FreeSowore

The DSS actions command no respect for me & if u respect them, good for u, I don't. I don't fancy people who have no regard for rule of law. I have used the remaining 5MB respect I have for them to download 'Mafo' by Naira Marley and Young John. #Sowore pic.twitter.com/cJXeowVTaV

Imagine being arrested at a court hearing… This country is both lawless and a disgrace to mother law. Free Sowore for goodness sakes… This is Tyranny at its peak. pic.twitter.com/XCeDdpzGCU

We are no longer practising democracy in Nigeria. The indecent arrest and harassment of journalists and activists in Nigeria is quite unfortunate.

What we all need to realize is that this isn’t just Sowore’s business. This isn’t just his freedom at risk.
This is all of our freedom(s) at risk here. We’re staring down a horrid road lined with this kind of occurrences and the social media bill to make sure we don’t complain.
