National Assembly Member-Elect Ismaila Yushau Maihanchi Passes Away: A Big Blow to the PDP Family
In a communiqué signed by its Chairman, Ekpumogu Lucky Joshua, the forum disclosed that Okocha, a former Chief of Staff under ex-Governor Chibuike Amaechi, and some members were accused of working with the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state during the elections.
In addition, the forum expressed concern that some compromised members were pushing for a parallel party structure in the state.
However, the forum affirmed that party members remain loyal to the leadership of Amaechi in the state. The forum also passed a vote of confidence on the suspended Chairman of the party, Chief Emeka Beke, and condemned those behind his suspension, stating that they were determined to destroy the APC and leave the PDP without opposition.
The forum further pointed out that the complainants/petitioners had breached the party’s constitution in terms of fair hearing. It noted that the same persons who appointed themselves into a fact-finding committee deemed the complaints.
The forum solidly adopted and endorsed the vote of confidence passed on April 6th, 2023, by the Ward 3 executives of the party in Emohua LGA on the third congressionally elected chairman of the party, Chief Emeka Beke.
