He said, “People should be outraged. You cannot watch a group of people stealing your money and do nothing. I am truly upset with the citizens for their inaction.”
Referring to the situation in Edo State, Amaechi added, “Should any politician even be campaigning in Edo State? Some of us can no longer afford to buy diesel because the price is outrageous.”
This statement comes shortly after the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) announced an increase in ex-depot prices for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as fuel.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that NNPCL’s price list revealed that in Calabar, the ex-depot price is now set at ₦1,050 per litre.
In Lagos, the ex-depot price is ₦1,010 per litre, while Port Harcourt sees prices at ₦1,045 per litre. Ogara, Koko, and Warri all have their prices set at ₦1,040 per litre.
