Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, the recently dismissed Minister of Women Affairs, has reiterated her unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu, declaring him destined to restore Nigeria despite her exit from the cabinet.
Kennedy-Ohanenye’s comments followed President Tinubu’s recent cabinet reshuffle, which resulted in her removal along with four other ministers.
In a statement issued on Saturday, she expressed gratitude to the President for the opportunity to serve, describing her tenure as an “honour and privilege” to contribute to Nigeria’s development.

Alongside Kennedy-Ohanenye, other ministers dismissed in the reshuffle included Lola Ade-John (Minister of Tourism), Jamila Bio Ibrahim (Minister of Youth Development), Tahir Mamman (Minister of Education), and Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo (Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development).
Despite her ousting, Kennedy-Ohanenye reaffirmed her commitment to the Tinubu administration, stating her readiness to continue advocating for Nigeria’s progress alongside the President and his team.
She remarked, “This is a test of time, a Highly Spiritual Movement that no human being can stop. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is destined to fix Nigeria, and I, Barr Uju Kennedy, will fight alongside him to the last. Let’s be optimistic. Nigeria will be great!”
President Tinubu has also appointed seven new ministers and reassigned ten to different portfolios, with the newly appointed officials set to undergo Senate screening.
