Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced the launch of the Lagos State Special Dispensation ‘Palliative’ Advisory Committee in a social media post.
The committee will oversee welfare packages, feeding programs and other intervention initiatives for Lagos residents.

According to the Governor’s Facebook post, the diverse committee comprises representatives selected from major stakeholder groups across Lagos. Members include Imam Abdulazeez Onike of NASFAT, Pastor Godman Akinlabi of Elevation Church, Hon. Seyi Sowunmi, Mrs. Joe Okei-Odumakin, Hon. Kolade Alabi, Barrister Taofeeq Ganiu, Dr. Shina Fagbenro-Byron, Hon. Ademola Shabi and more.
The post stated that these individuals “bring diverse expertise, and their work will be guided by the principles of empathy and dignity as we strive to make a significant impact in serving our people.”
Governor Sanwo-Olu said the committee’s dedication to transparency and merit will be crucial as it oversees the disbursement of palliatives and welfare support to vulnerable Lagos residents impacted by current economic conditions.
