Security Guard Discovers Body of 35-Year-Old Man in Abeokuta
- Victim found lying unconscious within his compound in Abeokuta

The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the discovery of a 35-year-old man, Mukaila Lasisi, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a compound located on Israel Agbalade Street, Asero, Abeokuta.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the victim was discovered by a security guard, identified only as Amusan, at approximately 6:45 pm on Sunday, lying unconscious within the compound.

According to Chief Superintendent of Police Omolola Odutola, the command’s spokesperson, the circumstances surrounding Lasisi’s death remain unclear, as it is unknown how the body ended up in the compound where the security guard resides.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the police have yet to uncover any signs of foul play.
Odutola recounted, “On December 29, 2024, at about 10:00 PM, one Amusan, a resident of No. 1 Israel Agbalade Street, Asero, Abeokuta, reported to the Obantoko Division Police Station that he had discovered an unconscious body in his compound, where the security guard resides. Amusan stated that he found the victim at approximately 6:45 PM and promptly went to the station to report the incident.”
Odutola explained that upon receiving the report, the surveillance team and the Papa Golf team quickly responded and proceeded to the scene.
The victim was immediately taken to the State Hospital in Ijaye, Abeokuta, where the attending doctor confirmed his death. No visible signs of violence were observed on the body.
“Preliminary investigations identified the deceased as Makaila Lasisi, approximately 35 years old. His father later confirmed his identity.

The body was then transferred to the State Hospital Mortuary in Abeokuta for preservation and further medical examination.”
Odutola made it known that detectives were investigating the cause of death, and further updates would be provided as the investigation progressed.
