Senator Tokunbo Abiru Joins Dignitaries at Dr. Obafemi Hamzat’s 60th Birthday Prayers
Ekohotblog reports that the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat, marked his 60th birthday with a special prayer session at the Alausa Central Mosque, Ikeja, on Thursday.
The event drew a host of dignitaries from across the state and beyond to celebrate the life and achievements of one of Lagos’ foremost public servants.

Among the notable attendees was Senator Tokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, who joined the prayers alongside the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
Other prominent figures present included members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, National Assembly members, members of the prestigious Governance Advisory Council (GAC), local council chairmen, and numerous political leaders.
The birthday prayer also witnessed the attendance of prominent Islamic clerics, family members, and a wide array of well-wishers who came to honor Dr. Hamzat’s service to the state and his impact on governance and development in Lagos.
During the prayers, special supplications were made for the celebrant, wishing him continued success, good health, and long life. Senator Abiru, while offering his prayers for Dr. Hamzat, said, “I pray that Almighty Allah grants him many more years in sound health and vitality to continue his exemplary service to our great state and nation. Amen.”
Dr. Hamzat has been a critical part of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration, playing a key role in driving the state’s infrastructural development, economic growth, and social programs aimed at improving the lives of Lagosians.
