The Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Dr. Danjuma Tella La’ah, has assured his constituents that no area would be left behind in the provision of basic infrastructure as part of his mandate.
La’ah made the statement yesterday, during the flagging-off ceremony of a road project at Ungwar Rana Chawai, in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
He said contrary to insinuations from some quarters that he had neglected certain communities in the zone, he has earmarked projects and made legislations that will impact positively on the lives of the people.
The lawmaker appealed to the people of Ungwar Rana Chawai to give maximum cooperation to the contracting firm to ensure speedy and timely completion of the project, adding that he will continue to give quality representation to the Senatorial zone.
La’ah said the 11.8-kilometer Ungwar Rana-Kigudu earth road will link communities in Zangon Kataf and Kauru Local Government Areas, and a bridge will also be constructed across the river to ease movement.
Earlier in a remark at the occasion, the Chief of Chawai, Alhaji Mohammed Yahaya Danlami, appreciated Senator La’ah for the project, adding that it was an answer to the people’s prayers.
Alhaji Danlami noted that the road construction will ease the difficulty in the movement of people and goods, especially during the rainy season, and also boost economic activities as farmers can easily move their farm products to markets.
He assured both the Senator and the construction company of the people’s maximum cooperation, and appealed that the locals should be engaged during the period of the project.
