EKO HOT BLOG reports that this was disclosed in a statement issued on Saturday by the Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, who explained that the conduct of the affected officers was found to be inconsistent with the ethical standards expected in the Armed Forces.
According to Gusau, investigations revealed that the grievances of the officers were linked mainly to career frustrations, particularly repeated failures in promotion examinations, which led to acts considered contrary to military discipline.
He stated that while some of the officers are currently awaiting trial, others are already undergoing disciplinary proceedings for various offences.
