Super Eagles Goalkeeper, Okoye Undergoes Successful Surgery
Super Eagles and Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has successfully undergone surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right hand.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Nigerian shot-stopper confirmed the success of the procedure on Wednesday, expressing his gratitude to the medical team and promising to support his teammates as he focuses on his recovery.

Okoye had been playing through the injury for the past two months, showing remarkable resilience despite the discomfort.
“Surgery is done,” Okoye wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “A big thanks to Dr. Pigoli and his team! I played the last two months with a broken ligament in my hand.”
He added, “For now, I’ll be supporting the team from the stands, recovering, and working hard for a comeback in top form! See you soon!”
