Super Eagles Striker, Cyriel Dessers Turns Down MLS Offer, Remains At Rangers
Dessers, who has been on the move frequently in recent years, joined Rangers last year after playing for eight different clubs across three countries.
This summer, the 29-year-old striker was linked with potential moves to Serie A club Cagliari and Greek side PAOK, but no deals materialized.

Having already made five appearances across all competitions this season, with three goals and one assist, it seems likely that Dessers will remain at Rangers unless an irresistible offer comes in, which appears unlikely.
Despite this, Dessers could have been playing elsewhere. Transfer expert Luca Bendoni revealed on Tuesday that MLS side Atlanta United submitted a €6 million bid for Dessers, which Rangers accepted. However, Dessers chose to reject the offer, preferring to stay in Scotland.

Dessers’ time at Rangers has seen mixed reactions from fans. While his goal-scoring record is solid, some supporters feel he hasn’t met expectations. Despite the criticism, coach Philippe Clement continues to regard Dessers as his first-choice striker.
In another news,
Cyriel Dessers remains at the centre of controversy following his crucial opening goal in Rangers’ 2-0 League Cup victory over St Johnstone.
The goal, scored in the 61st minute, has led St Johnstone to seek further clarification from the Scottish FA regarding its legitimacy.
The drama unfolded when referee Matthew MacDermid initially ruled out Dessers’ strike due to a perceived foul.
However, after VAR review, MacDermid reversed his decision and awarded the goal. St Johnstone, believing that play had been halted, are now questioning whether proper procedures were followed.
Despite St Johnstone’s protests, the goal stood, leading to Rangers’ progression to the quarter-finals of the Premier Sports Cup.
