Before revealing her baby’s arrival, Okobi had kept her pregnancy journey private, only sharing occasional gym videos and casual photos.
Okobi married her husband, Okeoghene, on December 9, 2017, in Delta State and continued her football career for nearly seven years before welcoming their first child.
Throughout her career, Okobi has represented Nigeria at several major tournaments, including the 2010 U-17 Women’s World Cup, the 2010 WAFCON, the 2012 FIFA U-20 World Cup, and four WAFCON tournaments (2014, 2016, 2018, 2022). She also featured in the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cups.
However, she was left out of Nigeria’s squad for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup by former coach Randy Waldrum and hasn’t returned to the national team since.
