Tension As Gunmen Whisk Away Another APC Chieftain

Unknown Gunmen have reportedly whisked away another APC Chieftain in Imo State.

The abduction is coming days after the gunmen assassinated Tony Enoch, a retired Army captain and a kinsman of Governor Hope Uzodimma.

The incident reportedly happened on Friday night.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Hon Chinedum Eleliam, the All Progressives Congress chairman for Umuarugo Village Umueze ll ward in the Ehime Mbaino local government area of Imo State, has been kidnapped by gunmen.
The abductors, suspected to be herdsmen, had tracked him down to his residence using two vehicles and then opened fire to intimidate the locals.

The ugly incident happened days after gunmen murdered a retired Army captain, Tony Enoch, a kinsman of Governor Hope Uzodimma who was the presidential campaign council chairman for the APC in the 2023 presidential election in Oru-East.
His corpse was discovered in his car.
The Imo Police Command has commenced a manhunt for the fleeing gunmen behind Enoch’s murder.
