COVID-19 contractors have reportedly shut down Abuja in protest over non-payment of N1.5 billion debt.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that there is tension in Abuja as contractors that supplied COVID-19 medical equipment and items, on Monday morning barricaded the major entrances to the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) in protest against the non-payment of the COVID-19 equipment they supplied to the FCT agencies since 2019.
The aggrieved suppliers are blocking the entrance gate of the FCT Minister, causing gridlock and preventing vehicles from gaining access to the FCTA secretariat.
