- Federal government extends deadline for national identification number
- Both those with NIN and without NIN are to link their NIN with their sims before 9th, February.
Following public outcry by many Nigerians over their inability to enroll for National Identification Number (NIN), the federal government has extended the deadline for all Nigerians, urging them to enroll and link their numbers before February 9th, 2021.
This is coming after the government gave those with NIN, until January 19, while those without NIN, February 9, 2021.
However, both those with NIN and without NIN are to link their NIN with their sims before 9th, February.
The announcement was made on Twitter;
The tweet reads;
Public Notice!!!!
”All Nigerians and legal residents are advised to enroll for their national identification number(NIN) and link them before february 9th, 2021.
Enroll for your national identification NUMBER (NIN) today!!!
Please remember, nin enrollment is FREE.”
