EKO HOT BLOG reports that the presidential Boeing 737 aircraft landed at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Mando at exactly 1:27 p.m., where Tinubu was received by a large delegation of top government officials and traditional leaders.
Among those on ground to welcome the President were Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin; Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani; and the Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.
Also in attendance were governors from at least 10 states, including Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Monday Okpebholo (Edo), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), and Nasir Idris (Kebbi), along with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume.
Upon arrival, Tinubu inspected a military guard of honour mounted by the Nigerian Air Force.
During the one-day visit, the President is scheduled to commission the newly constructed Institute of Skill Acquisition and Development in Riga Chukun, a 300-bed Specialist Hospital in Millennium City, and 100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses to support Kaduna’s intra-city transport system.
The visit will be capped with a grand civic reception at Murtala Square, organized in Tinubu’s honour by the Kaduna State Government.
Tinubu’s visit, initially slated for Wednesday, was shifted by 24 hours to allow him complete a humanitarian visit to Benue State, where he condoled with communities affected by recent violent attacks that claimed nearly 200 lives and displaced hundreds.

Ahead of the President’s arrival, security agencies tightened surveillance across Kaduna metropolis. Major routes including Kawo Bridge and Independence Way were temporarily closed between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. to ensure safe passage.
The President is expected to proceed to Nasarawa State for the final leg of his official tour in the coming days.
