He noted that the fight against terrorism remains challenging, stressing that it demands pain, sacrifice and unwavering commitment from members of the Armed Forces and other security agencies.
Tinubu also acknowledged the efforts of personnel of the Nigerian Army, Police, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), intelligence services and other local security formations working round the clock to secure the country.
He further paid tribute to the families of security personnel, noting the emotional and psychological sacrifices they endure as their loved ones serve on the frontlines.
According to him, Nigeria will never forget those who paid the supreme price in the line of duty, adding that their sacrifices live on in the rescued communities and protected lives across the country.
The President emphasised that the fight against terrorism is not solely a military responsibility but a national duty requiring collective vigilance from all citizens.

He urged Nigerians to support security agencies by providing timely and credible information, reiterating the popular phrase: “When you see something, say something. When you know something, report it.”
Tinubu also declared that Nigeria will not surrender to fear or be defined by the actions of terrorists, bandits or kidnappers.
“Their violence is not our identity. Their hatred does not represent Nigerians of any faith, creed or community,” he stated.
He concluded by commending all security personnel for their courage, vigilance and service, praying for divine protection over them as they continue to safeguard the nation.
