Tinubu Shakes Abuja, Appoints First Female FCT Head Of Service
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Grace Adayilo as the new Head of Service (HoS) of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), marking her as the first female and indigenous person to hold the position.
Adayilo’s appointment, effective immediately, follows the tenure of Dr. Atang Udo Samuel. Her leadership is anticipated to strengthen the FCT Administration’s bureaucratic framework, with a focus on enhancing service delivery and governance.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that during her swearing-in ceremony in Abuja, Adayilo expressed gratitude to President Tinubu and FCT Minister, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike.
She pledged her commitment to align with the President’s ‘Hope Agenda,’ vowing to fulfill her duties and make Nigerians proud.
Prior to her appointment, Adayilo served as the Permanent Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, bringing a wealth of administrative experience to her new role.
In a related development, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has issued a warning to prominent individuals and corporate organizations, threatening to revoke Certificates of Occupancy (C-of-O) for plots in Maitama District, Abuja, if outstanding payments are not settled within two weeks.
The notice, addressed to 3,273 allottees, titled “Demand Notice for Payment of Right of Occupancy Bills for Issuance of Certificates of Occupancy on All Lands Allocated at Maitama II District, Cadastral Zone A10, Abuja,” was obtained by Premium Times.
The situation has raised concern among landowners, many of whom are high-profile individuals and corporations.
