President Bola Tinubu is set to announce measures to reduce governance expenses, following the recent appointment and reassignment of ministers in his cabinet.
In an interview on ARISE TV, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, revealed that despite the addition of seven new ministers, the administration is committed to significantly lowering the cost of governance.

He stated, “The President will announce some cuts in government expenses, starting with the ministers.

Onanuga emphasized that while the administration requires many competent hands to address the nation’s pressing challenges, it is focused on efficiently managing resources and ensuring effective governance.
