EKO HOT BLOG reports that during plenary, the legislators praised Tinubu’s leadership, stating that his policies have started yielding positive results in under two years.
Hon. Tobun Abiodun (Epe I), who raised the motion, highlighted Tinubu’s economic policies, noting that the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) had increased and the naira was gaining strength. He also pointed out that fuel scarcity had been eliminated. “Currently, the policies are yielding positive results, and the GDP has increased. The value of the naira is gradually gaining strength. There is no more fuel scarcity in the country. We need to encourage the federal government to continue on this good path,” Tobun said.
Supporting the motion, Majority Leader Hon. Adewale Temitope (Ifako-Ijaiye I) stated that Tinubu’s preparedness before assuming office had been evident in his leadership. He credited the Federal Government with addressing the needs of Nigerians, citing the operational refineries, which have contributed to the drop in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
Temitope also acknowledged Tinubu’s role in strengthening the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), both in Lagos and at the national level. He emphasized the House’s commitment to the party’s leadership and the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), which continues to guide political decisions in Lagos.
Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu (Etim Osa II) praised the President’s efforts in tackling insecurity and reducing inflation. Similarly, Hon. Aro Moshood (Ikorodu II) commended Tinubu for the recent upward review of the national minimum wage and his investment initiatives, which have attracted over $40 million to the country. He also lauded measures taken to mitigate the impact of fuel subsidy removal.

Speaker Mojisola Meranda expressed confidence in Tinubu’s ability to meet Nigerians’ expectations. “I know President Tinubu will take us to the Promised Land. When he started, it was rough, but it is becoming obvious that his policies are yielding results,” she stated. She also credited Tinubu’s security investments for reducing insecurity in the country.
Following the session, Speaker Meranda directed the acting Clerk of the House, Abubakar Taiwo Ottun, to send a commendation letter to the President, acknowledging the positive impact of his policies.
