President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s commitment to inclusivity, stating that no Nigerian is too big or too small to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
Eko Hot Blog reports that during the commissioning of a newly constructed road in the Giri area of Abuja on Monday, Tinubu emphasized that the efforts of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have demonstrated that every community and citizen stands to benefit from the federal government’s initiatives.

The President, who was represented at the event by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, said the projects undertaken in the FCT are a testament to the actualization of his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to him, the ongoing infrastructural developments across the territory are not just symbolic gestures but real, tangible outcomes that reflect his government’s dedication to improving the lives of all Nigerians.
He said: “Honourable Minister, your words speak for themselves in every corner of the FCT. From the fast-paced districts of Maitama, Jahi, Katampe, Wuye, Mabushi, and the likes, to the satellite towns of Gwagwalada, Kwali, Bwari and Abaji, and growing districts such as Kabusa, Keti, Sheretti and now Giri, your leadership has brought progress closer to the people.”
He stressed that the newly constructed road would open up Hiri District and the wider FCT, boosting accessibility and economic opportunities for residents.

Also speaking at the event, FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, said the new road is a clear example of the Tinubu administration’s commitment to infrastructural development.
According to her, the project reflects ongoing efforts to open up under-served communities to economic activities within the area councils.
On his part, the Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Shehu Ahmad Dauda, said the project was awarded in November 2024 to provide access roads to the district, which is planned to serve as an institutional area.

He added that the proposed main sewage treatment plant for the city is also located within the Giri District, further underlining the area’s strategic importance in the FCT’s development plans.
