Tinubu Set To Depart For Guinea-Bissau’s 50th Independence Anniversary
EKO HOT BLOG reports that President Bola Tinubu will, on Thursday, join other Heads of State and Government in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau, to celebrate the country’s 50th Independence Anniversary and Armed Forces Day.
In a statement on Wednesday by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu will arrive in Bissau on Thursday for the ceremony, which will be hosted by President Umaro Sissoco Embalo.

This online media platform reports that Guinea-Bissau marked its 50th Independence Anniversary on September 24, 2023, but the Government had scheduled all celebrations for November 16, 2023.
The Nigerian President is expected to return to Abuja on Thursday.
‘I Inherited Serious Liabilities From Buhari’ – Tinubu
Meanwhile, President Tinubu has disclosed that his administration inherited serious liabilities from Muhammadu Buhari’s government.
In a statement on Tuesday by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu made this known on Monday night in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
The President lamented that Nigeria has serious deficits in port, power infrastructure and agro-allied facilities, saying that his administration would ensure that all the shortcomings are addressed.
President Tinubu said even though his government also inherited assets from his predecessors, he would not make any excuses.
He said: “We inherited serious liabilities, but also assets from our predecessors. We do not make any excuses.
“There are several sectors replete with investment opportunities for smart investors. Access to finance and guarantees can be a hindrance in some cases. You can come in there. We see you as a critical enabler.
