Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s emergence as Nigeria’s leader was a divine decision and not the result of human strategy or manipulation.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the governor made this known during the All Progressives Congress (APC) zonal stakeholders meeting held on Tuesday, July 23, 2025, at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.

According to Governor Nwifuru, God deliberately ignored candidates who exploited religious sentiments during the 2023 election because He knows the true intentions of men.
He insisted that President Tinubu was chosen by God for a higher purpose that no opposition coalition can thwart, even in 2027.
“No amount of coalition can derail God’s purpose of Tinubu winning the election, come 2027,” he declared.
The governor stressed that the APC was not worried about the rising wave of political alliances ahead of the next general elections.

He argued that President Tinubu’s bold decision-making ability sets him apart from every other contender.
“God chose President Bola Ahmed Tinubu contrary to the expectations of the opposition,” he said.
Nwifuru noted that the president has demonstrated the kind of fearless leadership Nigeria needs in a time of economic and political restructuring.
He called on stakeholders to rally around the president and strengthen the party’s base in the South East.
He added that no opposition leader has shown the kind of strategic vision Tinubu brings to the table.
According to him, those criticising the president underestimate the power of divine endorsement.
Governor Nwifuru concluded that the upcoming election will be another proof that God’s will cannot be altered by political calculations.
He also called on party loyalists not to be discouraged by recent alliances or criticisms targeting the APC.
He maintained that President Tinubu will not only complete his first term but will also return for a second.
