Tinubu’s Newly Nominated Minister Yilwatda Visits Senator Lalong in Plateau (Photos)
Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the newly nominated Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, has visited former Plateau State Governor, Senator Simon Bako Lalong.
This visit comes after Lalong resigned from President Tinubu’s cabinet, where he served as Minister of Labour, Employment, and Productivity, to take up his new role as a Senator in the National Assembly.
Lalong had previously supported Yilwatda as his preferred successor for the Plateau governorship, after Yilwatda secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial ticket. Following his nomination earlier today, Yilwatda’s visit to Lalong is being widely regarded as a gesture of gratitude.
In related developments, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, announced that his office is working closely with the Head of Civil Service of the Federation to execute the President’s directive on the merger and restructuring of several ministries.
