According to authorities, the offences are all linked to a single woman. Metropolitan Police investigators have been working closely with CPS to build the case. Detective Superintendent Scott Ware, who is leading the investigation, said the woman involved is receiving ongoing specialist support.

“Our specialist officers continue to support the woman who has come forward,” Ware stated. “We know that investigations of this nature can have significant impact on those who make reports.”
Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London South, Catherine Baccas, explained the decision to move forward with the charges.
“Having carefully reviewed a file of evidence, the CPS has authorised the Metropolitan Police to charge Micheal Ward, 27, with two counts of r@pe, two counts of assault by penetration, and one count of s3xual ass@ult,” she said.
She reminded the public that the case is now active and urged against any form of commentary that could jeopardise proceedings.
“It is vital that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings,” Baccas warned.
Ward, who was born in Jamaica and raised in the UK, rose to fame with his breakout role in Netflix’s Top Boy and has since starred in several critically acclaimed films.
