Epe Grammar School Old Students Association paid a courtesy visit to the Omola of Odomola, Oba Sulaiman Adeshina Adebowale, at his palace on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.
The visit was part of the activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the school.

The program kicked off yesterday at R.C.M. Primary School, Odomola, where school bags and exercise books were distributed to pupils. The initiative aims to support all 18 public primary schools within the LCDA.
During the event, Hon. Monsuru Akinloye addressed the pupils, urging them to set a high standard as students. He said, “I encourage you all to be exemplary in your studies and conduct. Your dedication and hard work are what will shape your future.”
He also highlighted the council’s efforts in enhancing primary education, stating, “We have made significant strides in improving our schools. This includes the construction of new classrooms and administrative offices, as well as the installation of perimeter fences and gates to ensure a safe learning environment. Additionally, we have provided amenities like dining sheds and generators to support the students’ daily needs.”
In the past three years, the LCDA has made notable contributions to education. Hon. Monsuru Akinloye stated, “We have distributed over 210,000 exercise books to our pupils, ensuring that they have the essential tools for their education.”
He also highlighted the employment initiatives, saying, “We are proud to have employed 60 NCE/B.Ed graduates in our local public primary schools. This move not only enhances the quality of education but also provides job opportunities for our youth.”
Furthermore, he facilitated the employment of more than 10 local indigenes at the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), remarking, “By securing positions for over 10 of our indigenes at LASUBEB, we are not only contributing to the education sector but also supporting our community’s development.”
The program reached several schools, including R.C.M. Primary School, Odomola; AUD Primary School, Odoegiri; and UPE Primary School, Imokun, with plans to extend the initiative to all public primary schools in the area, ensuring every pupil benefits from the program.
