A 20-year-old Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen is currently making moves to French club Lille joining the Ligue 1 side from Belgian side Sporting Charleroi.
Osimhen has signed a 5-year contract with Les Dogues and replaces Rafael Leao in LOSC’s squad as the Portuguese is on his way to completing a €35m move to AC Milan. Last season, Victor Osimhen was impressive for the French club scoring 12 goals in 25 League appearances for Lille.
His superb performances also helped him to make the Super Eagles final squad to 2019 African Nations Cup in Egypt. He was among the Super Eagles squad who won bronze medal at the AFCON 2019 playing only one game against Tunisia in the third place match.
“Lille is a very good club that has a high quality project and attracts players with great class, even more so than ever before in recent years.
“Great Nigerian players have also played here. I want to commit myself to following in their footsteps. I am therefore very happy to be here and to join this great club called Lille.
“I am still very young, I am learning and I think that this project suits me perfectly to continue to progress,’‘ Osimhen explained.
