U.S. President Donald Trump is considering expanding a travel ban to include Nigeria and several other countries, mostly in Africa.
This is based on an internal memo signed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as reported by The Washington Post.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that a total of 36 countries may face new visa restrictions. These include Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, Egypt, Uganda, Angola, and others across the African continent. Also on the list are nations in the Caribbean, Asia, and the Pacific, such as Saint Lucia, Syria, Cambodia, and Bhutan.
The affected countries have been given 60 days to meet updated U.S. State Department requirements. They are expected to submit initial plans of action this week.
Previously, in March, Trump had considered a similar travel ban affecting 43 countries. These were grouped into red (entry ban), orange (visa restrictions), and yellow (given time to comply with U.S. concerns).
In June, he signed an executive order placing a full travel ban on 12 countries, including Iran, Sudan, Somalia, and Libya.
