Troops Deactivate One Illegal Refining Site, Others In Bayelsa

Troops of the Nigerian Army, 6 Division in conjunction with other security agencies have deactivated one illegal refining site, two massive metal tanks with reservoirs with over thirty thousand(30,000) litres of stolen products recovered in Bayelsa State.

Acting Deputy Director, 6 Division Army Public Relations, Lt. Col. Danjuma Jonah Danjuma disclosed this in a statement.
He added that the troops also confiscated two(2) active illegal refining sites, three(3) drums, five(5) boats with over four thousand(4,000) litres of stolen products in Diebu Creeks in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area in Bayelsa State.
Lt. Col. Danjuma added that several illegal refining sites, nine(9) drums, six(6) wooden bots with over fifteen thousand litres of illegally refined products were cumulatively recovered around Tobo, Obotoro, Arugba and Okegbene Creeks also in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.
He added that two(2) illegal connection points have been identified by troops at Agip pipeline close to Idu Wellhead 4 with 200 meters nylon hose.
According to him,”This was reported accordingly to NAOC for remedial attention.”
