Troops Wipe Out Dozens Of Terrorists, Recovers Heavy Weapons In Lake Chad

Troops have wiped out scores of terrorists and recovered heavy weapons in Lake Chad.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) nicknamed Operation Harbin Zuma, have eliminated scores of ISWAP/Boko Haram terrorists in the Lake Chad Basin region.
The success followed an increased offensive by the troops o the MNJTF.
In a statement by Lieutenant Colonel Kamarudeen Adegoke, spokesperson of the MNJTF, the troops had repelled an attack by the terrorists at the general area of Arege.

According to Adegoke, the troops recovered heavy weapons during the clearance operation.
“Several items were recovered including one Dushka gun, Dushka Turrell and a burnt Gun truck while several terrorists were neutralized during the encounter.
“Similarly, troops of MNJTF conducted a clearance operation in the general area of Ferondiya and successfully subdued BH/ISWAP terrorist attacks with superior firepower.
“The resilient troops cleared suspected terrorists’ hideouts and recovered equipment which includes 2 Gun trucks, 2 Anti – Aircraft guns, one RPG tube, 2 AK 47 rifles, one RPG bomb and 3 Toyota Buffalo Gun truck tyres.
“Others are quantities 387 rounds of 12.7mm, 440 rounds of 7.62mm x 54mm and 364 rounds of 7.62mm x 50 mm ammunitions,” he added.
The Force Commander of the MNJTF, Major General GU Chibuisi commended the troops for their doggedness during the operation.
