- A truck has fallen on a car with occupants in Lagos.
EKOHOTBLOG reports that a containerized truck has fallen on a car at Ojuelegba, inward the Stadium area on Funsho Williams Avenue, Lagos State.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), while providing an update on the crash, disclosed that the 40ft containerized truck fell on a Toyota Camry with registration number KRD 822 FZ on Sunday night.
THE FRSC, in a statement by Route Commander, Olabisi Sonusi, noted that all four occupants of the car were evacuated alive, adding that the victims were attended to by the Lagos Ambulance Service, LASAMBUS.
Sonusi further stated that the rescue operation involved the FRSC, LASEMA, Army, Police, and LASTMA.

Also speaking on the incident, the FRSC Lagos Sector Commander, Olusegun Ogungbemide, warned owners of articulated vehicles to maintain minimum safety standards or stay off the road in the state.
The FRSC Sector Commander added that the crash would have been more devastating if the container was properly twist locked.
Ogungbemide, however, hailed security and emergency agencies for their swift response just as he commended the Lagos State Government for providing rescue equipment that made the operations seamless.
