EKO HOT BLOG reports that two individuals were reportedly feared dead following an attack by bandits on Kaura-Namoda town, the administrative centre of Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area (LGA) in Zamfara State.
According to reports, an eyewitness to have narrated that the bandits stormed the town at approximately 9 pm on Tuesday, firing shots indiscriminately and causing residents to flee in search of safety.
A resident of Kaura-Namoda town, Ismaila Kaura, informed journalists that two individuals lost their lives during the attack, including a female student named Ni’ima, who was en route to the Islammiyya school at that particular time.
He further stated that the troops from Operation Hadarin Daji, who were stationed in the town, engaged in a fierce gun battle with the bandits, ultimately compelling them to retreat.
At present, the police authorities in the state have not yet issued any statements regarding this recent attack,
