Job Title: Accountant
Location: Ipaja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description:
- Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations.
- Review and verify daily financial transactions, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
- Reconcile customer accounts on a monthly basis.
- Analyze financial risks and provide recommendations to management.
- Review sales reports and conduct weekly stock-taking.
- Compile, analyze, and report financial data.
- Present financial reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Conduct audits and resolve discrepancies.
- Compute taxes and ensure timely tax compliance.
- Stay updated on financial legislation and accounting best practices.
- Assist management in decision-making by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Perform any other duties as assigned to support the company’s financial goals.
Requirements:
- HND / B.Sc / M.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience in an accounting firm or a production/manufacturing company.
- Strong knowledge of accounting regulations, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and general ledger functions.
- Additional certifications such as CPA, ICAN, or ACCA are an advantage.
- Candidates must reside on the mainland.
