Job Title: Accountant

Location: Ipaja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description:

• Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations.
• Review and verify daily financial transactions, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
• Reconcile customer accounts on a monthly basis.
• Analyze financial risks and provide recommendations to management.
• Review sales reports and conduct weekly stock-taking.
• Compile, analyze, and report financial data.
• Present financial reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Conduct audits and resolve discrepancies.
• Compute taxes and ensure timely tax compliance.
• Stay updated on financial legislation and accounting best practices.
• Assist management in decision-making by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
• Perform any other duties as assigned to support the company’s financial goals.

Requirements:

• HND / B.Sc / M.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience in an accounting firm or a production/manufacturing company.
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and general ledger functions.
• Additional certifications such as CPA, ICAN, or ACCA are an advantage.
• Candidates must reside on the mainland.
