Job Title: ICT Teacher

Location: Oregun, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The ICT Teacher will be responsible for promoting computer literacy among our pupils.
• He/she will to help cultivate the pupils’ interest in information communication technology and be their dedicated ally in the learning and development process of it.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans which meet established schools’curriculum
• Adapts and reassesses lesson plans to meet specific pupil needs, comply with newly implemented guidelines or rules, and to update relevant information and include new developments in education
• Teach students and learners to use computers.
• Design and develop appropriate computer instructional material.
• Perform regular hardware and software updates on classroom it devices
• Communicates with parents as per school guidelines on a regular basis, including presenting pupil progress reports and informing parents of requisite pupil discipline
• Maintains order and discipline among pupils while promoting safety and compliance with school rules and guidelines
• Attends occasional continuing education seminars
• Attends and takes part in school meetings on curriculum, organisation, and guidelines
• Assist in ensuring pick up and drop off goes smoothly
• Undertake any other duty assigned.

Job Requirements
Education:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• A PGDE /Masters in Education will be an added advantage.
• Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certificate will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years work experience in a good school.

Job Competencies:

• Proven experience as an ICT Teacher.
• Technical knowledge and computer skills.
• Knowledge in common hardware and software.
• Experts in using a smart board.
• Ability to think on their feet and to solve basic IT problems under pressure.
• Excellent communication and instructional skills.
• Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable.
