VeryDarkMan Makes U-turn Apologizes To Falz Over Involvement In Bobrisky’s Case
Controversial social media activist and influencer, Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has issued an apology to prominent Human Rights Lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, and his son Falz, for implicating them in his recent allegations against Bobrisky.
VeryDarkMan expressed his reservations during his appearance before the House of Representatives Joint Committee on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions, stating that he finds it hard to believe Falana’s involvement in the bribery accusations against the crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, as well as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigeria Correctional Service.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that during the session, VeryDarkMan expressed regret, stating, “I apologize. It’s distressing that his name was linked to that audio. I couldn’t fathom it; that aspect frustrated me the most, refusing to believe he would engage in such conduct.”
He additionally called on Folarin Falana (Falz) to withdraw the legal action against him and join forces in combating corruption in Nigeria.
In a social media post across Instagram and X, VeryDarkMan urged Falz to observe the ongoing proceedings at the House of Representatives investigative panel, suggesting that witnessing the events firsthand might lead Falz to drop the lawsuit.
Addressing Falz directly, he wrote, “@falzthebahdguy, observing the ongoing chaos might encourage you to drop the suit so we can concentrate on addressing the bad elements undermining the nation. Don’t misinterpret, your father is a leader in our shared mission… if you were present, you’d comprehend. I hold Papa FF in high regard. Man to man, God bless you.”
VeryDarkMan emphasized that Falz’s father, Femi Falana, remains a significant figure in their shared advocacy.
Notably, Falz and Femi Falana had previously threatened legal action against VeryDarkMan for defamation in response to an audio recording purportedly involving Bobrisky discussing a presidential pardon facilitated by Falana for a fee.
VeryDarkMan had posted a video where Bobrisky claimed to have paid 15 million Naira in bribes to EFCC officials to dismiss money laundering charges against them, prompting the EFCC to summon both VeryDarkMan and Bobrisky regarding these allegations.
Bobrisky later dismissed the circulated recording as fabricated, denying any payments to the anti-graft agency, asserting completion of the prison sentence.
Falz supported some of VeryDarkMan’s claims in a warning notice to the activist, demanding a retraction of the accusations, disclosing that Bobrisky had solicited 3 million Naira from him to secure a VIP section in prison, a request he rejected.
In response, VeryDarkMan, represented by his legal counsel Deji Adeyanju, denied defaming Femi Falana and reiterated that the release of voice recordings aimed to prompt an inquiry into Bobrisky’s assertions rather than tarnishing Falana’s reputation.
He expressed admiration for Falana’s human rights efforts in Nigeria, advocating for an investigation to address the claims over pursuing defamation charges.
