Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and former Inspector-General of Police, Mike Okiro, have visited the Abuja residence of the late Chief Edwin Clark to pay their condolences.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Obi arrived at the home of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) leader, who passed away on Monday at the age of 97. Shortly after, Okiro also arrived, signing the condolence register with the words, “We lost a father, we lost a gem. May your soul rest in peace.”
Several prominent Nigerians have also visited the late statesman’s residence to pay their respects. They include Senator Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa West), Senator James Manager (former Delta South Senator), and Jonathan Asake, a former Kaduna State governorship candidate in the 2023 elections.

Other dignitaries present were Prof Oladapo Afolabi, former Head of the Civil Service; Ambassador Kem Ajieh, Head of Store Management at the Presidential Amnesty Programme; Dr Pogu Bitrus, President of the Middle Belt Forum; and Mrs Regina Omo-Agege, among others.
