EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to the council, the objective or multiple-choice questions will be presented on-screen, and candidates will submit their responses directly on the screen.
For essay and practical questions, while these will also be displayed on-screen, candidates will provide their answers in the traditional answer booklets provided.
WAEC also mentioned that candidates would have the option to complete the entire examination using the Paper and Pen mode, should they prefer this method for all subjects.
The statement further announced an extension of the registration period for the examination. “The registration period has been extended to Tuesday, October 29, 2024,” WAEC stated.
Additionally, the council provided a “Walk-in-Candidate” option for those who may not register within the regular window.
This allows candidates to register 24 hours before the specific paper they wish to take.
The final timetable for the examination is available for download on the WAEC Nigeria website.
WAEC encouraged both registered and intending candidates to utilize its learning resources, including the WAEC e-Study platform, WAEC Past Questions and Answers books, and the WAECKonnect platform, which facilitates interaction between candidates.
“WAEC wishes all candidates success in the upcoming examination. The Council remains committed to leveraging technological innovations to ensure that its services are accessible to all stakeholders,” the statement concluded.
The announcement also highlighted recent improvements in WASSCE results in Kaduna and ongoing efforts by WAEC to address malpractice concerns in future exams.
