The development comes at a crucial time, following the relocation of the activities of Oko Baba to Òwu-Ikosi — a move that has significantly increased the population pressure on existing amenities.

Speaking at the commissioning, Hon. Wale Anomo, Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, highlighted the importance of the intervention.
“Since government relocated Oko Baba to Òwu-Ikosi, the influx of people has put pressure not only on our healthcare facilities but also on the education system. This initiative by Hon. Wale Raji is a testament that he truly values his people and their welfare.”
The traditional ruler of the community, Oba Nelson Obayomi Ogunlari, also lauded the project, describing it as a milestone for Òwu-Ikosi.
“This school is a blessing to our land. It will relieve families of the stress of sending their children to faraway places in search of secondary education. We thank Hon. Wale Raji for this legacy that will serve generations.”
Community leaders echoed similar appreciation, noting that the project would uplift the community socially and economically. They pledged to ensure the facilities are maintained and put to proper use.
Hon. Wale Raji, while addressing the people, emphasized the significance of the initiative.
“This is only the beginning. Our children deserve quality education, and I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure communities across Epe Federal Constituency are not left behind in development.
Education is not just about classrooms; it is about breaking the cycle of poverty, empowering families, and building future leaders.
By bringing this school to Òwu-Ikosi, we are not only opening doors of knowledge but also laying the foundation for prosperity and progress.”
He further explained the challenges many students had faced in the past.
“For too long, our students have been denied access to education because of the distance they had to travel to attend schools in other communities.
