The embassy advised Chinese nationals in Israel to “return home or relocate to safer areas as soon as possible.”
Both Israel and Hezbollah signaled on Sunday that they are prepared to intensify cross-border attacks, despite international pleas to avoid further escalation.
This follows an Israeli airstrike in southern Beirut on Friday, which targeted and killed Ibrahim Aqil, the head of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force.
The strike came after a series of explosions across Lebanon earlier in the week that claimed 39 lives and injured nearly 3,000, with Israel widely blamed for the attacks.
China had previously called on its citizens to leave Lebanon after an Israeli airstrike last month killed a senior Palestinian militant there.
