We only lack the technology, the stories are there, Osuofia states.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nollywood legend Nkem Owoh, popularly known as Osuofia, has spoken out about the quality of Nigerian films in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). Osuofia, who is a well-known actor in the Nigerian film industry, stated that the stories portrayed in Nigerian movies are far better than those in Bollywood or Hollywood.
According to Osuofia, Nigerian films present real-life stories and happenings, and it is unfair to compare their quality to that of films produced in advanced countries.
He pointed out that while Nigerian film producers may not have the technology of their counterparts in advanced countries, they have the stories and creativity to make great films. Osuofia believes that if Nigerian filmmakers are given the necessary technology, they will go places.
“The storyline we take is better than any story from any Woods, we don’t have the technology, but we have the story. “We are a third world country coming up, and people should give us kudos for the level we have attained.
“I believe, with the stories and creativity among us, if we get the needed technology, we will go places”.
