EKO HOT BLOG reports that Bisi Fayemi, the wife of Ekiti State Governor, has pushed more women to run for office in the 2023 general election.
The governor’s wife praised Omowumi Ogunlola, a member of the House of Representatives who represents the Ijero/Ekiti West/Efon Federal Constituency, for her exceptional performance.
Fayemi spoke in Aramoko Ekiti, where the All Progressives Congress congressman distributed empowerment goods to residents in Ijero, Ekiti West, and Efon local government areas.
“She is a worthy ambassador of women in political positions,” the governor’s wife added. Indeed, you have performed admirably, and I am really proud of you. Hon. Ogunlola is a perfect example of what we mean when we say we want women in positions of leadership.
“Thank you very much for not letting us down. Women will have additional opportunities as a result of her outstanding performance. I’d like to encourage other members of the green chamber to do more for their constituents, because Ogunlola has been an excellent spokesperson of the people,” she continued.
