Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is in a better position to rebuild Nigeria from the institutional and infrastructural ruins caused by the APC-led government.

Governor Ortom made the remarks on Tuesday while addressing journalists on arrival at the Makurdi Airport from Bauchi where he had attended the PDP Governors’ Forum meeting.

According to him, internal issues in the PDP would not deter it from winning elections in 2023, pointing out that it was natural to have disagreements within but being able to manage the same was critical.

He added that a series of meetings the PDP Governors’ Forum had held across the country were meant to reposition the party, instill hope and confidence in Nigerians that if given another opportunity, they could take the country out of the woods.

Ortom explained that the PDP Governors agreed that the current APC-led Federal Government has failed Nigerians in all spheres and should therefore allow the PDP to fix the country.
