Covid-19: What Is The State Of Vendors In Higher Institutions In Nigeria
Truly, we have created locked down relaxation that has affected every profession positively In one way or the other.
But I just remember Mummy at the school cafeteria. My thought is how vendors at Nigerian higher institutions of learning be part of the beneficiaries of the lockdown relaxation.
This bid which we all know it could only happen if the federal government declares all schools open.
However, any reasonable individual will accept that the rule of social distancing would not be maintained if schools were allowed to open now.
Those vendors who happened to be food sellers, stationery dealers, and internet cafe personnel were part of other citizens who used some weeks at home when the government ordered the stay-at-home principle to curb the coronavirus pandemic.
It may be in a rotating way, goods and services traders in open markets have been engaged in one or the other.
If the government palliative care had gone to every nook and cranny, we may not clamor for palliative care for these vendors.
If Nigeria is like other African countries, we may not be propagating for financial assistance for these individuals.
