Why Reps Promise Support For Nigerians Abroad Equal Opportunity For All – Committee Chairman Speaks Up

Eko Hot Blog reports that in a bid to address the challenges faced by Nigerians living abroad, the House of Representatives is gearing up for legislative action aimed at providing support and solutions for the diaspora community. Chairman of the House Committee on Diaspora Affairs, Hon. Sir Tochukwu Okere, expressed this commitment during a virtual meeting with the Nigerian-American Coalition for Justice and Democracy (NACJD).

Okere emphasized the importance of collaboration between stakeholders and government agencies to ensure the effective implementation of solutions to the issues faced by Nigerians in diaspora. He assured the diaspora community of the House Committee’s dedication to enacting laws that respond to their needs and aspirations.
“We are fully committed to addressing the concerns of Nigerians abroad,” Okere stated, highlighting the significance of ongoing engagement with the diaspora community.
