Wizkid Reveals Why Puma Chose Davido as Ambassador Over Him
Nigerian hip hop star Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has dismissed the significance of the ambassador deal rival David Adeleke, commonly referred to as Davido, recently secured with Puma.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Wizkid expressed his feelings through a series of tweets amid an ongoing rivalry with Davido. On the same day, Davido announced his new partnership with the global brand Puma.
In response to the escalating rivalry, an X user, @Nelson Epega, accused Wizkid of being frustrated and jealous over Davido’s new deal.

Wizkid took to his X account to respond to @Nelson Epega’s claims, asserting that Puma had initially approached him for the ambassador role, but he rejected it due to the company’s inability to meet his financial demands. He stated that he found the deal to be “cheap.”
In his tweet, Wizkid wrote, “U idiot! I turned down Puma because they could no longer afford to pay me what I wanted! I don’t need that! I’m way bigger than every artist you just mentioned! Not jealous! Love them all. With your dirty ass shirt! Idiot!
