EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to a Facebook post by Harrison Gwamnishu, the Senior Special Assistant on Civil Society and Youth Mobilisation to the Delta State Governor, Lucy’s body was discovered by a co-worker from her workplace.

The workplace had noticed Lucy’s absence and attempted to contact her, but her phone was unreachable. They sent a colleague to check on her, and upon arriving, the door was locked. The co-worker peered through a window and was horrified to see Lucy’s lifeless body on the floor, prompting an immediate alarm.
Gwamnishu shared further details, stating that Lucy’s body showed signs of struggle, with marks on her body, a knife wound on her finger, and her hair scattered around the room. It was believed that she was murdered in her apartment.
He called on the Delta State Police Command to thoroughly investigate the crime and bring those responsible to justice. He also urged residents to report any threats to their lives to prevent such tragedies.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident, stating that an investigation was underway.
