A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has granted bail to activist Scott Iguma, who is standing trial over allegations of circulating a false video and issuing life-threatening statements.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Justice Friday Oghazi, who presided over the case on Monday, approved bail for Iguma in the sum of ₦10 million. The court also ordered that he must provide one surety in like sum. The surety must either own property within the jurisdiction of the court or be a civil servant not below grade level 12 in the service of either the Federal Government or the Lagos State Government. The surety is also required to show evidence of tax payments.
