At least 10 civilians were killed and seven others injured on Friday night when a suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber detonated an explosive device at a crowded fish market in the Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that security sources said the attacker disguised as a civilian and mingled with the crowd before setting off the bomb at the popular evening market, which regularly attracts hundreds of local traders and residents.

“The suicide bomber also died in the blast,” Makama stated.
“The Nigerian Army troops and emergency response teams were immediately deployed to the scene, and the injured victims were evacuated to a nearby medical facility for treatment.”
The blast ripped through the popular evening market, which regularly draws hundreds of local traders and residents.
Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic and chaos, with bodies lying motionless and survivors crying out for help as smoke and dust filled the air.
Security forces have since cordoned off the area to prevent further attacks and ensure the safety of emergency responders.
