14 worshippers kidnapped in Kaduna community following heavy gunshots
- Four of the kidnapped victims were reportedly released on Friday night
EKO HOT BLOG reports that 14 worshippers were kidnapped by suspected bandits who stormed a mosque during evening prayers on Friday, in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Speaking to newsmen, a community leader in the area, Alhaji Dauda Mustapha disclosed that while some of the bandits operated in the mosque, others searched several houses, picking women.

Alhaji Buhari Nadama, one of the worshippers who said he narrowly escaped, told DAILY POST correspondent in Kaduna that they heard gunshots while performing evening prayers.
He narrated that they saw masked men, who were heavily armed, following the gunshots heard during the Ishai prayer.
According to him, the bandits went away with several cattle from Tudun Amada, a nearby community.
The Kaduna Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige was said not to pick calls, just as he did not respond to text messages sent to him.
However, four of the kidnapped victims were reportedly released on Friday night.
