Acting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has extended his administration’s welfare programme by distributing food palliatives to residents across the 21 communities within the council.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the October edition of the RBK Monthly Food Palliative Distribution saw a total of 3,003 bags of rice delivered directly to households in different parts of Lekki LCDA.

The initiative, which has become a consistent monthly exercise, aims to cushion the effects of the prevailing economic challenges and support families at the grassroots.
The benefiting communities include: Tiye, Imobido, Ilege, Orijeru, Idasho, Magbon-Segun, Itoke, Idotun, Okunraye, Olomowewe, Origanrigan 2, Osoroko, Ajegunle, Oju-Oto, Lekki, Ebute-Lekki, Siriwon, Igbekodo, Apakin, Otolu, and Folu communities.

Speaking during the distribution exercise, Engr. Kasali reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to ensuring that every resident feels the impact of good governance at the local level.
He emphasized that the initiative reflects his commitment to people-oriented leadership and his desire to complement the Federal Government’s vision for food security and poverty alleviation.
He said, “Our goal is to bring relief directly to our people. We understand the realities of the economy, and this is one of the ways we can stand by our residents and show that government truly cares.”
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Morenike Idowu from Ebute-Lekki community, expressed gratitude to the council boss, saying, “We appreciate our Chairman for remembering us every month.
Things are tough, but this food support makes a big difference for our families.”
Community leaders and residents alike commended the initiative, describing Engr. Kasali as a “leader with empathy and vision” who continuously prioritizes the welfare of the people.
